India’s highest-rated protection expert, OneAssist in partnership with Hansa research unveiled a nation-wide study of 1,260 respondents titled ‘The Great Indian Smartphone Protection Crisis’ that gives a peek into the smartphone ownership behaviour of Indians.
The report reveals some interesting data points like
- 72% of consumers have suffered Accidental damage to their phones
- 82% consumers have dropped their phones atleast once
- 36% of the damages have happened because the smartphone fell out of pocket/bag
and much more.
The report comes at a time when the avergae device prices in India have rised 40%-50% in recent years and the replacement cycle has stretched to approximately 40 months up from 2 years a few years ago.
